Greg has been a musical presence since 2003 astonishing his listeners with his sophisticated West Coast style.
Greg began piano lessons at a young age and won the Gene Pitney talent show a few years later. As a boy, he would listen to the hits of that time and became focused on understanding all the different sounds he was hearing and how they were put together to create a mood. In High School, Greg was one of the only Freshman's selected to sing in the Greater Hartford Youth Chorale. It was also at this time that he became interested in drumming and decided to make it his instrument of choice. After High School and armed with these skills, Greg began recording music in his bedroom on a 4 track tape machine, overdubbing and bouncing tracks to create his first compositions. Over the next 40 years, Greg pursued a career in manufacturing to support his wife and 3 children but kept music in his life playing in several bands and continuing to hone his recording skills throughout those years. In 2003, he was introduced to the world of Digital Audio Workstations and VST plugins which could emulate real instruments and effects all in one package. Shortly thereafter, Greg released his first CD "Always Room to Grow" and also became an Artist at itsaboutmusic.com where his music was showcased along with classic artists such as the Buckinghams, Michael Sembello and Andy Pratt. It was also at this time that Greg's Christmas song "First Real Christmas" was featured on that labels Christmas CD sampler. A huge surprise came when he received an email from Neil Diamonds guitarist, Hadley Hockensmith interested in working with him on some music. Over the years they have become friends and collaborated on a few different songs, but none of which were ever released. Greg has recently retired from his "day job" and spent the last year finally finishing his recording studio. His first release recorded there, "Arrival", is available on most streaming services.
With musical interests in the likes of Randy Goodrum, Monkey House, Tomi Malm, Steely Dan and Jay Graydon, Greg will be releasing music that has many influences from these great artists.
As things expand, plans are to include some of the best local musicians contributing to the party and to add some extra spice.
